Cassie had her first litter on Valentines day, her third birthday. We have our first brown baby, actually we have three! Two big chunky boys and a lovely big girl. Two black dogs also made their appearance. All are fit and well with super bone. They are feeding well, and are very content.
Granny Ruby kept watch at the door for the entire time Cassie was having her puppies and still sits outside the door on occasion when Cassie is feeding, just to make sure she is doing it right.
I will add photos to the "litter 3" gallery as I go along.
Wow, where did the time go, the litter is 6 weeks old now and FULL of mischief! Luckily we have had unseasonably warm weather so litter 3 have had afternoon playtime outside and its been so nice that i have joined them for a spot of fresh air. The puppies have bags of confidence and have no fear of new things, they have met Granny Ruby, who loves them, Uncle Dooley seems to think they are ok too, until the teeth start snapping! Travis has retreated to the garden as he always does when puppies are around. Rosie is absolutely fascinated by them but i havent been brave enough to introduce them to her yet, she is far too energetic for the adult dogs let alone 6 week old puppies.
I had a really lovely Mothers day, my sons visited in the morning and in the afternoon the Priorcove family came for afternoon tea, with Gill bringing an absolutely gorgeous home made sponge cake. Two of the puppies are going as "additions" to the Priorscove puppies they got last year, Daisy is going to live with Gary, Gill and family as a pal for George, Digby is going to live with Ted and Phoebe. Blue is also staying local, he is going to live with Kenny, Jane and family who live right across the road from Whitley Bay beach, Newfy heaven!. Storm and Paddy are venturing a little further afield, but are also going to lovely homes.
I am having another "Mothers day" this Sunday, which will be the last one with all of the litter together, I am hoping to get a photo of everyone together with the puppies, weather permitting.
